 智能空间的资源管理及其应用研究*

摘要:  资源管理是智能空间关键技术之一, 其研究也得到了广泛的关注. 本文在 Jini 技术的基础上, 以智能空间中的漫游打印为应用背景, 提出了一种有效的智能空间的资源管理解决方案. 该方案中, 资
源被抽象为服务, 由属性、 接口等描述; 空间中服务动态地加入或离开由发现和加入协议、 异步事件通知机制和租用机制等来完成; 资源的映射和冲突调度由资源映射和资源仲裁机制完成. 最后给出了一个智
能空间的漫游打印应用及其实现情况, 并与相关工作进行了比较.

Abstract:  T his paper begins with the introduction of the Ubiquitous Computing. the background of this system, then briefly reviewed the development of computing since the invention of computers. From the age of mainframes to
the current desktop computing era, now we are stepping into the time of ubiquitous computing. The relationship between people and computers are changing from  people use computers to  computers provide services for
human . The new paradigm emphasized the people centered system designment, and computers are  disappeared into the background of everyday life. After introduced ubiquitous computing, we came to the concept of smart
space: a smart space is a compositive environment of ubiquitous computing. There are some important advantages in smart space. First, smart space is a complex and dynamic physical
environment with embedded computers, information appliances and multi model sensors, new modules can discover the existence of smart space environment and spontaneously take use of the resources and the services in the smart
space to perform users! task; second, smart space will consist of many wireless network devices, while wireless connection is prone to transient failure; third, the interactive points are distributed and multi model, modules
coming from various application fields need to cooperate, while the system need to consider the inclusiveness of the legacy code. Resource management is an important approach to achieve spontaneous interoperation in smart space. It should
be capable of performing two fundamental tasks: resource mapping and resource arbitration. Resource mapping isthe process of choosing the appropriate resources that can be used to satisfy the users! request. Resource arbitration
is ensuring that the resources must be used rationally, while the resources are not being used beyond their capacities. Resource management is one of the most important technologies in smart space, and this research has been paid
a lot of attentions. Using mobile printing in smart space as the application background, we propose a efficient solution of resource management in smart space which based on Jini. Resources are abstracted to be services,
described by attribution、 interface and so on; through discovery protocol、 asynchronous event notification policy and lease policy the services can dynamically implement joining in smart space and leaving for smart space; we also
design resource mapping and resource arbitration policies to implement resource mapping and conflict. Finally, we discuss the implementation and application effect of mobile printing which based on this management solution, and
compare this resource management with related work.
