Abstract
There are many factors governing the migration of dense nonaqueous phase liquids(DNAPLs)in the subsurface because of the simultaneous flow of immiscible phases in a multiphase system including DNAPLs,water and air after the leakage of DNAPLs.These factors that affect the complex DNAPLs’ behavior are summarized from the aspects of physicochemical properties,leakage rate,retention characteristics and heterogeneity as well as groundwater flow velocity.Previous works have mainly focused on only one influencing factor,the combined factors,especially both groundwater flow velocity and heterogeneity on the migration of DNAPLs are further discussed.According to the deficiency of existing work,some issues needed to be further approached are presented.
