摘要:  TMS320C6678是TI(Texas Instruments)推出的8核高性能DSP(Digital Signal Processor),其主频可高达1.25 GHz,然而其正常工作涉及复杂的辅助控制.C6678的EVM(Evaluation Module)提供了一种以FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)为核心的辅助控制系统方案.考虑到FPGA硬件成本和软件开发成本高,尝试设计了一种以单片机为核心的辅助控制系统.鉴于单片机的外部中断资源有限,为实现对诸多电源状态指示信号及复位信号的监控,提出了利用逻辑门的方案.又由于单片机与DSP电气特性不匹配,提出了利用单片机OD(Open­Drain)输出特性及电平转换芯片的方案.经过测试,该辅助控制系统能够满足C6678的所有要求,并最终应用到TMS320C6678的某系统中.

Abstract:  TMS320C6678 is a high­performance multicore DSP of Texas Instruments.This device can run at a core speed up to 1.25 GHz.In order to provide certain conditions for the DSP to work properly,some auxiliary controls are needed.The EVM for C6678 has provided a solution of auxiliary controls based on FPGA,which involves high developing costs of both hardware and software.In this paper,we proposed an auxiliary control system cored by a single­chip microcontroller.Considering that the external interrupt source of a single­chip microcontroller is limited,we utilized two logic gates to monitor the power­good signals and the reset request signals.However,there is the issue of electronic characteristic matching between the microcontroller and the DSP.We took advantage of the open­drain output characteristic of the microcontroller and involved a level shifter to solve the problem.Eventually,the new auxiliary control system was successfully applied to a TMS320C6678 system.Both hardware and software design of the new auxiliary control system were described detailedly.
